Butterflies

Leila and I went with her friend Tanner and his mom to the cincinnati butterfly show. I think Leila was more interested in climbing all the little fences instead of catching butterflies. Maybe next year!

Just hanging out.

Mama's lil' helper

Looks like she's taking after grandpa!

Who doesn't love a sleeping baby?

I always find Leila with a blanket over her head. Made me nervous for a while but I guess she just likes it!

A day at Great American Ball Park

While Ali's parents were visiting this spring we all to a baseball game. I think Leila had a good time...well at least she enjoyed the food!!

Father's Day

Leila and I decided to do a little photo shoot for father's Day. The pictures turned out really cute. Here are the ones we framed for dada!

I know, I know...

So i am not very good at this blog thing. So let me back up and post pics from last spring. In April we took a cruise with my mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law and my niece and nephew. The ship was very kid friendly (and it didn't hurt to have grandma and grandpa around to watch Leila some of the time ;) ). We all had a really great time. Enjoy the pics!

Leila's 1st Birthday

Well, I can't believe that this day has already come and gone. Leila turned 1!! We had a party on Saturday with both sets of grandparents, one of Ali's sisters and several of our friends. Leila was a HUGE fan of the cake and enjoyed being allowed to dig in on her own! Today (Sunday) was her actual birthday which ended up being bitter sweet for me. I had a good time reminiscing about the past year and in particular the day she was born, but sad the year has gone so fast! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

So I know I haven't posted anything for a while...I mean its the end of January and I just put up Christmas pictures. Leila continues to change everyday and I wish she would just slow down. I can't believe her first birthday is in less than a month! She is trying desperately to talk. Her new favorite words are "wassdat" a.k.a whats that, "whosat" a.k.a who's that, uh-oh, and oh wow! She is signing 'eat' when she wants a bite of something and we are working on the sign for 'please.' No walking yet. She is pulling up and cruising the furniture and occasionally lets go with both hands. I am sure it won't be long!!
